IndieGoGo Updates – And a Bribe from Erynn

by Erynn Brook on November 11, 2011

Erynn here!

As many of you know, we’re currently looking for funding through our indiegogo campaign.

The amount we set was $12,000, unfortunately we set that before we got some real pricing on things. Apparently there’s a big difference between what you think equipment should cost and how much it actually does cost. We’ve received quotes anywhere from $15,000-$50,000, just for the equipment to make the livestream possible.

That’s not even figuring in costume and prop budget, or insurance, or what renting the space is costing us. If you could see me right now I’d be tugging on my collar… Is it hot in here or what?!

When did art become so damn expensive? The internet was supposed to be a go-between, it was supposed to allow artists to connect directly with their audiences, and that’s what we want. That’s why most of our perks on IndieGoGo are buying tickets in advance. We’re going to make this happen even if we have to learn how to build our own cameras, but the more help we get the better.

So now I’m going to bribe you.

Those of you who know me in person know of my incredible baking talents.

Those of you who don’t will have to take my word for it 😛

I’m offering for anyone who makes a donation this weekend (as in before Midnight on Sunday EST), a little helping hand with their holiday baking.

Including the perks already available on indiegogo, you can claim the following:

$25 or under: 1 dozen assorted holiday cookies. Delivered on the date of your choice between December 1st-20th, to the address of your choosing, with a signed holiday/thank you card from Kyle and Erynn.

$50 or under: 2 dozen assorted holiday cookies. Delivered on the date of your choice between December 1st-20th, to the address of your choosing, with a signed holiday card from the entire cast and crew.

$100 or over: 4 dozen assorted holiday cookies. Delivered on the date of your choice between December 1st-20th, to the address of your choosing, with a signed holiday card from the entire cast and crew AND a personalized holiday thank you video on YouTube. If you donate more than $100 you can request that your thank you video include a holiday song, which will be sung by me (Erynn Brook), and don’t be afraid, I do sing for a living.

So you now have 59 hours left to collect on your cookie deal. If ‘assorted cookies’ doesn’t make your mouth water enough, here’s what my holiday collection usually includes:

Homemade Scottish Shortbread Cookies (made with real butter)
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies (can be made vegan!)
Gingerbread Cookies, pre-decorated or plain for decorating family fun!
Traditional Sugar Cookies (thin and chewy, just a little crispy around the edges)
Mint-Creme Filled Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Are you drooling yet? Then what are you waiting for?! Head over to IndieGoGo right now and secure your holiday sugar high while you still have time!
